SERVICES
The LCMRC offers a place for men to be supported as they work through their individual issues. In addition, we offer resource referrals to specific agencies who serve men in need of their services.
LCMRC plans to develop the following services:
Organization of weekly support groups for various populations, to be facilitated by trained volunteers in Chittenden County, Vermont. Groups will operate through donations and no one will be turned away for lack of money.
Groups may include:
- Men's drop-in support groups
- New dads and men with expectant partners
- Single dads and men dealing with divorce
- Gay, bisexual and questioning men
- Men of color
- Men recovering from childhood abuse/sexual violence
- Adolescent males
Production and distribution of a newsletter addressing men's issues and perspectives as they relate to personal healing and social activism
Educational outreach bringing men's issues to community organizations and the educational system
Maintain a lending library of print and other media focused on men’s issues, which will be available to LCMRC participants
Collaboration with other organizations toward the fulfillment of LCMRC’s mission and the realization of our core values
